London-based creative studio it’s a local collective partners with Korean artist Semin Hong to present YUÁN, an immersive exhibition and community programme in partnership with Arts Council England. Featuring works by 11 artists and a custom installation, YUÁN transforms the Marylebone gallery in London into a contemporary East Asian garden, inviting visitors to embark on a calming journey into the heart of what it means to find ‘home’.

The curation of YUÁN brings together both local artists (‘at home’) who are deeply rooted in their surroundings and immigrant artists (‘away from home’) whose experiences shape a different relationship to 'Home.'

The exhibition design by it’s a local collective reinterprets a contemporary East Asian garden, blending reflective aluminium with natural elements like brick, wheat, and aggregate. Visitors are guided along a meandering path, where the viewing of art unfolds gradually across three sequences—pavilion, lake, and field—inviting contemplation rather than immediacy.

YUÁN extends the discourse on ‘Home’ beyond visual art, exploring the gallery as a space to foster well-being, social exchange, and creative discourse. A series of public events invites participant to become part of the installation, including a sound bath workshop led by ESEA health practitioner Chetna Lad of Aatma Holistic; an immersive dining experience crafted by chef Eric Wan of Lá Lốt in collaboration with visual communicator Nandal Seo; and a BYOT (bring your own tea) tasting session hosted by health tea studio flōoat.

YUÁN is an immersive exhibition and community programme in partnership with Arts Council England, the Bomb Factory Art Foundation and part of London Design Festival 24’.
